    Everybody Wants Some Opening SXSW

    The South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival will have Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some open the festival on March 11 next year. The movie is based on college life back in the 1980’s. The director is known for his films Slacker, Waking Life, Scanner Darkly and School of Rock.

    Everybody Wants Some will revolve around a group of baseball players who enjoy their college experience and freedom of adulthood. The head of SXSW Film Janet Pierson said, “We are so thrilled to premiere Richard’s latest work, which is really funny, instantly quotable, filled will great new talent. Audiences are going to love this paean to competition and coming of age in the 80s”.

    The cast for Everybody Wants Some includes Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Anthony Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Blake Jenner, Glen Powell and Wyatt Russell. Richard has written and directed the comedy. The movie will hit theatres on April 15 next year.
