    Everybody Wants Some Replaces Rings For April 1 Release

    The sequel to The Ring, Rings has been delayed by around 6 months. The movie was initially planned for an April 1st release but now Paramount Pictures has given that spot to Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some. Rings will now be released around Halloween on October 28.

    Rings will focus on Holt, who watches the infamous videotape and starts creating bridges between his girlfriend and himself. The movie will star Matilda Lutz as Julia, Holt’s girlfriend and Alex Roe will play the role of Holt. Also joining the cast will be Johnny Galecki.

    Directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez, Rings will have a script written by Akiva Goldsman. The Ring was released back in 2002 and was directed by Gore Verbinski. The movie starred Naomi Watts, Daveigh Chase and Martin Henderson. David Dorfman played the role of Aidan Keller in the original and is expected to return for the sequel.
