Ezra Edelman To Helm The Biopic Of Late Baseball Player Roberto Clemente

Hollywood filmmaker and director Ezra Edelman is known to have bankrolled the 2011 documentary movie The Curious Case of Curt Flood. He is also known to have helmed biography and documentary movies such as 30 for 30: Requiem for the Big East and Magic & Bird: A Courtship of Rivals. Ezra recently helmed the critically acclaimed movie O.J.: Made in America.

According to a story published on variety.com, Ezra has been roped in by Legendary Entertainment to helm an upcoming biography movie. The movie will be a biopic of late Puerto Rican baseball player Roberto Clemente. The script of the upcoming movie will be penned by Rowan Ricardo.

Legendary Entertainment is previously known to have acquired the rights to the novel ‘Clemente: The Passion and Grace of Baseball’s Last Hero ’, which was authored by David Maraniss. Apart from the Clemente biopic, Ezra Edelman is also in talks to helm ‘The Ballad of Richard Jewell’.
