    With largely positive reviews, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ seems to have delivered on its promise of entertaining the wizarding world fans. The movie dominated the weekend box office on its opening weekend with $75 million domestically. At the worldwide market, the movie brought in a whopping $218 million. Eddie Redmayne leads the cast as Newt Scamander.

    Benedict Cumberbatch starrer ‘Doctor Strange’ took a hit with the release of Fantastic Beasts and dropped down to second. The movie brought in $17.6 million on its third weekend, sending its worldwide earnings to more than $571 million. Fox’s animation ‘Trolls’ earned a close $17.5 million on its third weekend. The movie has been directed by Mike Mitchell and has grossed $261 million worldwide.

    The Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner starrer ‘Arrival’ pooled in $11.8 million on its second weekend. The sci-fi flick has been directed by Denis Villeneuve. Made on a budget of $47 million, the worldwide earnings for the project have reached $54 million. Running on its second weekend, David E. Talbert’s ‘Almost Christmas’, brought in $7 million. The movie only saw a domestic release and has earned $25 million overall.
