Fast and Furious 8 Updates

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the next instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise will be shot in several locations including Russia, Iceland and Cuba. Both THR and Variety have revealed that the Universal Pictures wants to shoot part of the film Cuba, for which, the team is trying to get the appropriate permissions.

According to the studio, “Universal Pictures is currently in the process seeking approval from the United States and Cuban governments to explore shooting a portion of the next instalment of the Fast & Furious series in Cuba”. If they get the permissions they desire, Furious 8 will become the first Hollywood movie to shoot in Cuba after the 1960s. The series is known for it’s around the globe adventures, having explored places like Miami, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Abu Dhabi.

Furious 8 will be directed by F. Gary Gray. It will be the first instalment of a trilogy that will mark the end of the Fast and Furious franchise. Furious 8 will be released on April 14, 2017.
