Fast & Furious 6 helps Universal Pictures cross $1 billion milestone at overseas box office

A big announcement has been made by Universal Pictures on Friday that they have crossed the $1 billion benchmark at the overseas box office, thanks to the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise.

The movie’s huge earning from last weekend helped in the success of the studio. Within a week, Fast & Furious 6 managed to earn $259.4 million at the international box office. The other blockbusters which added to Universal’s profit list are Les Misérables with $238.9 million, Oblivion with $180.4 million, Mama with $74.9 million and Identity Thief with $39.8 million.
