First Gods of Egypt Trailer Shows Gerard Butler Vs Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

The first official trailer for the upcoming Egyptian mythology film Gods of Egypt has been released. The trailer was debuted by Lionsgate along with a new poster. The action adventure puts a mortal and the powerful god Horus against the merciless god of darkness Set.

The unlikely alliance of the god and the mortal must fight for the freedom of Egypt from the tyranny of the god of darkness. Bek, the mortal hero must rescue his true love and save the world. Gods of Egypt will bring forth an epic clash between 300 star Gerard Butler (Set) and Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Horus).

The role of Bek will be played by Brenton Thwaites who was last seen in the 2014 film The Giver. Gods of Egypt will be directed by Alex Proyas and stars Chadwick Boseman, Elodie Yung, Courtney Eaton and Geoffrey Rush, along with Nikolaj, Gerard and Brenton. The movie will be released on February 26 next year.
