First Image For DuckTales Revival Revealed

It has been known for quite some time now that the famous animated series DuckTales will be revived for television. Now, Disney Television Animation has revealed the first image of the new series. Almost everyone is familiar with the adventures of Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Louie and Dewey, and the image will quite possibly bring out everyone’s inner child.

The series will follow the curious and funny adventures of Scrooge, his grandnephews and Donald Duck. It is expected that Duckworth, Launchpad McQuack, Magica DeSpell, Gyro Gearloose, Flintheart Glomgold and Poe will also return for the revival. Let’s not forget Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys who are also expected to make a return.

The Senior Vice President, Programming and General Manager at Disney XD, Marc Buhaj spoke about the revival and said, “DuckTales has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation”. The original DuckTales first aired in 1987 and ran for 100 episodes. The new series will be released next year.
