First Look for Westworld Released

A short first look teaser for the upcoming series Westworld was released by HBO. It was aired just before the finale of True Detective Season 2. The series is inspired by Michael Crichton’s motion picture titled Westworld, which was both written and directed by him.

The hour long drama series is a story about the arrival of artificial consciousness and the future of sin. The series will star Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright, along with others. The teaser provides a glimpse of the flow of the series with a young woman sitting on a chair with eyes wide open and dreaming.

Jonathan Nolan is the executive producer, writer as well as the director for Westworld. The executive producers also include J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk. Bad Robot Productions, Jerry Weintraub Productions and Kilter Films are the production companies behind the series. Westworld will be aired next year.
