For Matt Damon, Family Always Comes First

The Martian star, Matt Damon, recently revealed that he puts his family before his acting career. He shared that he has never stayed away from his family for more than three weeks. Matt is married to Luciana Barroso and has three daughters and one step daughter from Luciana’s previous marriage.

“When making the movie, I always take them and go on a big family trip. Every decision to make a movie is really up for to the family. If it is going to be too disruptive, I just can't do it. Sometimes it is an adventure. Last year I went to China for six months and it was a big family trip and that was awesome”, the actor stated, according to Female First.

The 45-year-old actor does not accept roles that don’t allow him to meet his family every two weeks. He shared that he and his wife have a two week rule and the maximum they have gone without meeting each other is three weeks. The Bourne franchise actor is currently awaiting the release of Jason Bourne, hitting the screens on July 29 in the U.S.
