    Fran Kranz Roped In For The Dark Tower

    The upcoming cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower novel series has roped in The Cabin in the Woods actor Fran Kranz. He will be playing a character named Pimli in the film which will be directed by Nikolaj Arcel. Fran now joins Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Abbey Lee and Tom Taylor for the film.

    The screenplay for ‘The Dark Tower’ has been written by Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner. The movie will be based primarily on the first book in the seven part series. 'The Dark Tower' will be produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Erica Huggins, as well as Akiva Goldsman.

    Fran Kranz is known for his roles in movies like ‘Bloodsucking Bastards’, ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and also from the television series ‘Dollhouse’. Reports have also stated that a television series for the novel is being developed as well. The cinematic adaptation will be released on January 13 next year.
