According to an announcement made by NBC at the Television Critics Association’s press tour, the cast of the hit comedy show Friends will be reuniting after 12 years. The group will get together for a two-hour special aimed as a tribute to James Burrows. James directed 15 episodes of Friends.

The director is also the man behind Taxi, The Bob Newhart Show and Cheers. Friends was first aired in 1994 and saw 10 very successful seasons. Currently, all six of the members - Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer - are expected to be present at the special. Whether or not they will be present in one room is not one hundred percent confirmed.

NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt stated, “I’m hoping all six will be in same room at same time; I’m not sure we can logistically pull it off”. There have been efforts to bring the cast together in past but one or more members always declined the offer.
