Gal Gadot Once Thought Of Quitting Acting

There was a time when actress Gal Gadot, who will be essaying the role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming DC movie, was thinking of leaving acting. She says that she finds acting tough as it is very difficult to bear the rejection. However, things took u-turn when she was offered her first independent superhero movie.

The actress says that she was unaware about the kind of role of she would get when she auditioned for ‘Wonder Woman’. She believes that role in the movie is perfect for her. “It was all very secretive. But without ever knowing it, I think ‘Wonder Woman’ was my dream role. I grew up watching women playing princesses or damsels in distress. You had Meryl Streep and Charlize Theron but it wasn’t common to see great roles for women,” said the 32-year-old.

Gal says she was thrilled to have veteran actress Lynda Carter accompanying her on the world premiere of ‘Wonder Woman’. She even posted a video on Twitter that showed her embracing Lynda on the red carpet. “Loved having you by my side @RealLyndaCarter Muah #WonderWoman,” wrote Gadot. Carter has previously played the dual character of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on TV during 1970s.
