New images and production stills from the seventh and much anticipated season of HBO’s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones are out.

The stills, shared by Entertainment Weekly, feature Daenerys Targaryen riding a screeching Drogon in a battle scene and Jon Snow and Arya Stark on their horses.

The new still shows how much Drogon has grown in just two seasons.

The last time we saw him in season 6, he was still pretty massive.

HBO released 15 pictures of almost all major characters from the seventh season in April. There was Jaime by the side of a stern Cersei on the Iron Throne, Daenerys landing on the shores of Westeros and Bran being dragged along by Meera.

So far, a useless poster, an enticing teaser video and the costumes of the characters have also been revealed. Fans are eagerly waiting for the trailer which will drop any day now.

The filming of the show got delayed because the crew could not shoot sequences of winter in locations where actual winter arrived rather late.

The new season will have only seven episodes against the usual 10 and will premiere on July 16.
