Game of Thrones season 7 trailer: The great war is upon us and it looks epic

HBO has finally unveiled the first full trailer for the upcoming season of their hit fantasy series Game of Thrones. The seventh season looks even grander and more impressive than what the fans have enjoyed so far.

The trailer begins with Cersei Lannister, the queen on the Iron Throne, rallying her troops against her enemies from ‘East, West, North and South’.

Then there is Daenerys who finally lands on the shores of Westeros, ready to claim the kingdom she was ‘born to rule’.

Arya is struggling, looking for shelter as she makes her way back to Winterfell.

Jon is still his brooding self, taking more than his fair share of stress about the winter that is finally here and the war it will bring. Meanwhile, Baelish tries his best to turn Sansa against her brother.

There are also quick cuts to several scenes of war- on a boat, on horses and on dragons. Jon assures us that a great war is coming. How great? We will have to wait more than a month to find that out.

The new season premieres on July 16.
