Game of Thrones star Richard Madden to become Cinderella’s Prince

After roping in Lily James and Cate Blanchett for their Cinderella project, it’s time for Disney to sign on someone new as the charming Prince of Cinderella. The Prince is none other than the king of Game of Thrones, Richard Madden.

The film, to be helmed by Kenneth Branagh, has been planned by Disney since May 2010. After the success of Johnny Depp-starrer Alice in Wonderland, the live-action adaptation of the Lewis C. Carroll’s book, Disney landed their hands upon the adaptation of the famous fairy tale, Cinderella. Initially the draft script was penned by Aline Brosh McKenna, writer of The Devil Wears Prada.
