It was premiered at the Venice Film Festival last month followed by shows atTelluride and Toronto and now it’s getting ready for its box-office release this Friday, October 4. Both Clooney and Bullock attended the New York premiere of the film but couldn’t sit throughout the screening of their film. But to Cuaron’s much pleasure, the screening was attended by many other huge names of the industry like Emma Watson, Katie Holmes, Patricia Clarkson, Kyle MacLachlan, Richard Kind, Noah Emmerich, Gina Gershon, Joel Coen and Steven Soderbergh. Cuaron was also joined by his son and co-screenwriter Jonas Cuaron, the film's producer David Heyman and newsman Dan Rather.
After the screening, a space-themed party was gathered by a host of Hollywood celebrities at Powerhouse where Clooney was seen chatting with the guests happily. The fun time continued for the Gravity cast as Bullock, Clooney, Heyman and the Cuarons attended a Warner Bros.-hosted tastemaker lunch party at New York's historic Explorer's Club. The luncheon was attended by the likes of F. Murray Abraham, Dan Abrams, Candice Bergen, Naomi Foner, Kyle MacLachlan, Dana Ivey, Piers Morgan, Wendi Murdoch, Mira Nair, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Oliver Platt, Deborah Roberts and Elizabeth Vargas. The huge gathering was addressed by Heyman in a brief manner where he praised the director for making such a wonderful movie on technology and also the lead actors, Clooney and Bullock, for their participation and extraordinary performances.
