    George Clooney’s ‘Suburbicon’ Booked For Award Season Debut

    ‘Suburbicon’, featuring George Clooney, Matt Damon and Julianne Moore with Clooney helming, has been set for award season premiere. The comedy-drama is scheduled for release through Smoke House Pictures and, Silver Pictures on November 3. Whereas, Emily Blunt-John Krasinski thriller ‘A Quiet Place’ has been allotted April 18 premiere.

    The movie has been set against the backdrop in the quiet family town of ‘Suburbicon,’ where the best and worst of humanity is portrayed through the activities of ostensibly common people. When a home assault turns noxious, and a flawless family falls in the clutches of blackmail, vengeance and treachery. The script of ‘Suburbicon’ is by Joel and Ethan Coen.  

    Joel Silver will be bankrolling the project under his household production company, Silver Pictures banner alongside Clooney and Grant Heslov under their Smokehouse Pictures label, and Teddy Schwarzman, under Black Bear Pictures. Clooney has films like ‘Monuments Men,’ ‘Leatherheads,’ ‘The Ides of March,’ ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’ and ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ as his directorial credits. Meanwhile, the actor is excited and prepped up to embrace parenthood with wife Amal Clooney.
