Jordan Peele turned a director with the movie 'Get Out’. The movie which released in February 2017 showed the story of a young black boy with a white girlfriend who encounters passive kind of racism. The flick which was produced by Jason Blum was a huge success and grossed more than 194 million USD worldwide. Its creative way of tackling racial issues was appreciated by all.

Now the actor-turned director has been signed by Universal studio for a first-look overall production deal with his Monkeypaw Productions banner. Under this new deal, Universal will develop Peele’s an untitled social thriller that he will write, direct and produce. Universal chairman Donna Langley said, "Through extraordinary imagination and fearless humour, Jordan has proven himself to be a game-changer who is driven to tell stories that are as commercially entertaining as they are disruptive and provocative.” She added, "The entire Universal family takes great pride in his incomparable filmmaking debut and feel fortunate that this studio will be Jordan's home for many years to come."

The new film under Universal will be made on a budget that will be about five times bigger than 'Get Out’ which was made on a low budget of 5 million USD. After ‘Get Out’ nearly every studio was after Jordan for a deal. One of the major aspect of his deal with the studio is that he will be producing the movies with the aim of giving an opportunity to those who are not represented in front of and behind the camera, be it gender, race or sexual orientation.
