Ghost in the Shell: Rupert Sanders to hold the camera

Filmmaker Rupert Sanders is set to go behind the camera for Ghost in the Shell. The flick will be a remake of an animated movie of the same name, created in 1995. The animated version was an adaptation of Masamune Shirow`s classic sci-fi Japanese comic, Ghost in the Shell and Rupert’s flick will be inspired from it too.

The story of the film will zero upon a police officer, living in the near future who sees the sights of the concepts of consciousness and humankind. William Wheeler is penning the script for the film who has done the same for The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The project will jointly be produced by Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul.
