Glenn Close and others join ‘She Who Brings Gifts’

Glenn Close, Gemma Arterton and Paddy Considine have boarded ‘She Who Brings Gifts.’ Colm McCarthy, who has directed TV shows including Peaky Blinders, Sherlock, Doctor Who and The Tudors, will make his feature directing debut with shooting to start in May.

The thriller, according to the sources, is about a seemingly normal and very intelligent little girl who lives in an underground army bunker with other children her age. They are all experimental cases being examined by scientists to find a cure for a fungal spore that has infected the planet. The script was adapted by MR Carey from his own dystopian novel The Girl with All the Gifts. Six-time Oscar nominee Glenn is a Tony winner for her performances in Sunset Boulevard, Death and the Maiden and The Real Thing.
