Johnny Depp never leaves a chance to surprise his fans. And this time he did something at San Diego’s Comic-Con which one of the most sought after events in the world by comic and fantasy fiction fans. Johnny Depp amped up the heat on Saturday by showing up dressed as cult villain Grindelwald from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.

The 55-year-old actor was the surprise guest at the Warner Bro’s panel of the sequel of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Depp, seen as the character of the dark wizard, Grindelwald, gave his fans a glimpse of what the new sequel will look like. “I do not hate them. I do not. I say the Muggles are not lesser. Not worthless, but of other value. Magic blooms only in rare souls. It is granted to those who live for higher things,” Depp, as Grindelwald, told the audience.

He added, “The moment has come, to rise up and take our rightful place in the world”. Coincidentally, Depp’s ex Amber Heard was also at the Aquaman trailer release, which followed the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them panel. The couple had split over Amber’s allegation of domestic abuse against Depp and avoided each other at the event.
