    Guillermo del Toro To Open A Cinema After His Name In His Hometown

    Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is known to have helmed movies such as Pan’s Labrynth, Hellboy and Pacific Rim. The filmmaker has been receiving praises for his latest movie ‘The Shape of Water’. According to a story published on timesofindia.indiatimes.com, the star is set to open a new cinema.



    It has been revealed that the new cinema will be named after him. The cinema will be established in his home town Guadalajara in Mexico on March 10, 2018. Toro’s The Shape of Water has received 13 Oscar nominations, which also include Best Director and Best Picture.



    The director will be also contesting in the upcoming Guadalajara Film Festival. Toro will be aiming to win the Best Mexican Fiction film. There are five other major Mexican directors who are eying towards the same award, which also includes a cash prize of USD 27,000 and an audience award of some USD 5,000.
