    Hayden Christensen is set to make a comeback to the big screen after bagging a role in Marco Polo, reported The Hollywood Reporter. The movie will be helmed by the Fast and the Furious director, Rob Cohen. The film will be co-produced by Paramount and China Film Group, though other companies such as Yuehua Entertainment, Phoenix Entertainment and Huahua Film & Media Culture will also be producing the project.

    The 33-year-old actor, who is best known for essaying the role of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars film series, will be seen playing the role of Polo in the action movie. Polo was a merchant who began a 24-year journey into China in the 13th century. The tales of this great adventurer have been kept safe in a book, which is considered to be the introduction of Chinese culture to Europeans.

    “Star Wars: is the gift that keeps on giving for Hayden Christensen, whose international fanbase has helped him win the lead role in Paramount’s fantasy action movie Marco Polo”, a source told TheWrap. The actor, who hit a brick wall after the Star Wars series, is also known for being very particular in terms of projects he wants to be a part of. The Jumper star will also be seen in 90 Minutes in Heaven, which features Kate Bosworth and has been directed by Michael Polish.
