Here’s What Kerry Washington Has To Say About Her Character In ‘Cars 3’

Hurray ‘Cars’ fans! The popular Lightning McQueen of Disney-Pixar is back on the screen as the third part of ‘Cars’ franchise is all set to return to screen. However, the third instalment will not see Lightning McQueen as a rookie.

Award-winning actress Kerry Washington has been signed in to play Natalie Certain. However, the actress said that the role is completely apart from what she is real life. “Natalie Certain is a know-it-all, bossy pants, super-nerdy character,” said Washington. She added, “I’m nothing like that, so it was a stretch, but I was somehow able to access the truth of this character who thinks she knows everything.”

Apart from Kerry Washington, ‘Cars 3’ will see Owen Wilson as the voice of Lightning McQueen, Cristela Alonzo who will lend her voice for tech-savvy trainer Cruz Ramirez, who tries to help #95 return to greatness, Armie Hammer voices for next-gen racer Jackson Storm, whose high-tech speed leaves Lightning McQueen behind. Moreover, Nathan Fillion gives his voice for brilliant business-car Sterling while Lea DeLaria voices for formidable school bus Miss Fritter. The movie will also see Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton lending his voice. The third part of the movie will release on June 16.
