    The film, which saw actor Chris Pratt do the voiceover, is the fifth highest grossing film internationally. The computer-animated film directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord earned over  2,978 crore across the globe.


    4. THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY - PART 1

    The third instalment in the film franchise, The Hunger Games — starring Jennifer Lawrence and directed by Francis Lawrence — saw the film earn a total of  4,000 crore ( 1,864 crore in North America and  2,226 crore worldwide).

    The second instalment in the Marvel’s Captain America Universe, the film, which saw Captain America face an enemy in a long lost friend, starred Chris Evans in the lead role. The film released in May and earned  1,648 crore in North America and  2,889 crore outside of the North American continent.

    Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Benicio del Toro and John C Reilly, among others, the superhero film revolves around a team of extra terrestrials misfits who are wanted by the bounty hunters after stealing an orb. The film, directed by James Gunn (Scooby Doo-fame director), had released in July, and made  2,100 crore in North America alone. It made  2,814 crore in the rest of the world, taking the total to  4,914 crore.

    The film, which released in June this year, saw Mark Wahlberg take up the responsibility from Shia Labeouf as he battled alien robots. The film crossed the billion dollar mark, earning a whopping 6,917 crore worldwide.
