Meanwhile, investigators are trying to find out what prompted the British-born filmmaker to take his own life amid reports that he was suffering from brain cancer. According to eye-witnesses, Scott stop his car at about the midway point of the bridge shortly after noon on Sunday, climb a fence along the edge of the span and leap into the water.
