Hugh Jackman After Playing Wolverine For 17 Years Says, It’s Time To Leave The Party

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman is popular for his role X-Men superhero Wolverine. He recently humorously stated, “I know Aussies are not known for leaving the party at the right time but (after) 17 years, it’s time to leave the party”. He said this while discussing his last film Logan, where he played a superhero.

The actor had played the Wolverine for the eighth time onscreen. He said that it was a big risk for him and the filmmakers to display his mutant character in this year’s hit Logan. He further said, “This was not a given moneymaker. People considered this to be the biggest risk, the most foolish risk ever taken, and I think people assume you’re just doing a sequel because it’s a moneymaker, but my experience from being within it is that it’s always felt like a risk and I think that’s to be embraced”.

Talking about his character in the film, Jackman also revealed “This is a man whose life is centred on violence”. He said that it seemed very difficult thematically, not just in terms of graphic violence but the consequences of violence. He said, “It seemed impossible to make that as a PG-13 movie and really get into the thematic of that and on a serious level”. The film had received critical acclamation and has grossed more than 600 million dollar at the worldwide box office collections.
