The actor has been signed up to star in Paramount’s big-screen adaptation of Harlan Coben’s upcoming mystery novelSix Years.As Paramount does not yet have a writer or director attachedfor the movie concerned, Tom Rothman, the former Fox chief, is in negotiations to produce the film alongsideMark Gordon.

    The novel revolves around Jake Fisher who watched his lady-love marry another person. After six years he had to attend the other man’s funeral where he wished to reunite with his old flame. But at the obituary he realized that the widow is not at all Natalie and all his past memories with the woman were put into question. Prior toSix Years, which will publish on March 19, Coben’sTell No Onewas adapted into a French-language film in 2006, and is currently undergoing an American remake at Warner Bros. withBen Affleckas the director.

    Jackman is presently shooting for the revenge thrillerPrisonersalongsideJake Gyllenhaaland will also play a brief role inBryan Singer’s sequelX-Men: Days of Future Past, which will begin shooting next month. The actor will appear onscreen next in directorJames Mangold’s sequelThe Wolverine.
