The parenting skills of The Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman were put to the test on Saturday at Bondi Beach where a rip tide caught hold of his children as well as other swimmers. In a video of the event, the actor was pulling the arm of a man who was holding his daughter Ava. He then went to help his son Oscar.

Peter Adam, who acted as a rope between Hugh and his daughter, stated, “He wasn't rescuing me, I was assisting him to get his daughter up to the sandbar. He then grabbed my hand to get us up. He then went to get his son”. The actor was also seen waving at the other swimmers trying to get them ashore while the lifeguards reached them.

The 47-year-old actor was then thanked by The North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club via Instagram, along with the other lifeguards. Hugh was last seen in the film ‘Eddie the Eagle’ which hit the screens on February 26. The movie has been directed by Dexter Fletcher and stars Tom Costello Jr., Jo Hartley, Keith Allen and Taron Egerton along with Hugh.
