    Hyde Park International Picks Up Whitney Cummings’ ‘The Female Brain’

    Whitney Cummings will be making her directorial debut with ‘The Female Brain’ which is being touted as a quirky relationship comedy, according to Variety. The flick has been picked up by Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park International which will represent it in all international territories. ‘The Female Brain’ is currently in early post-production.

    The movie has been based on the book by neuropsychiatrist Louann Brizendine. It speaks about the brain chemistry among couples as they progress through their relationship. Whitney has written the flick along with Neal Brennan and will also be starring in it. Other cast members include Sofia Vergara, Lucy Punch, James Marsden, Cecily Strong, Blake Griffin, Toby Kebbell and Deon Cole.

    Carl Clifton, President of Hyde Park International, spoke about the film and said, “’The Female Brain’ is delightfully fresh and seriously funny. Whitney Cummings shows that she is not only a brilliant comic actor, but a very talented director too”. The first footage of the film will be screened in Berlin at the European Film Market.
