I Am Lucky To Be Alive: Said Paul Nicholl After Falling From Waterfall In Thailand

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason star Paul Nicholl has admitted that he is lucky to be alive after plunging down a waterfall in Thailand on the island of Koh Samui. The actor broke his leg and smashed his knee cap following a fall.  After being trapped for three days, he was found by locals in a rock pool at the Khun Si Falls.

He said, "I am lucky to be alive. I had a phone with me but I fell from such a height into the water it was unretrievable. It took such a long time to find me. It's an understatement to say it wasn't a great situation. It wasn't that I was lost.”

"The problem was I couldn't move to get out of there. I've got a broken leg and I'm missing a kneecap. It needs complete reconstruction,” he added. Paul made his debut in TV in 1996 with ‘EastEnders’ in which he played Joe Wicks, a character who is plagued by schizophrenia. The soap gave him his much needed attention. He had also starred in Secret Diary Of A Call Girl’, ‘Holby City’, ‘Law & Order: UK’ and ‘Harley Street’.
