I find writing songs extremely therapeutic: Kevin Bacon Talks About Coping With Anxiety

After his mother was diagnosed with cancer, actor Kevin Bacon suffered his first panic attack and has been dealing with anxiety ever since. Recently, he shared that writing songs helps him cope with his problem. The 58-year-old has a band named Bacon Brothers and he wrote a song called ‘Shaking’, which is a metaphor about anxiety.

“I wrote a new song called 'Shaking'. It starts out being about earthquakes in Southern California, but it's a metaphor about anxiety”, shared the actor. Kevin went on to say that he talks about extremely personal subjects in his songs. Comparing songwriting to therapy, the Tremors actor stated, “I find writing songs extremely therapeutic. It is like if my therapist goes on vacation. it's a good time to pick up a guitar and talk about what's going on. I take extremely personal subjects and put them in the songs”.

Kevin was last seen in ‘Patriots Day’ where he shared screen space with Mark Wahlberg, J.K. Simmons and John Goodman. The movie was directed by Peter Berg and was an average performer at the box office. He will next be seen in a TV movie titled ‘Story of a Girl’ which will be released on July 23.
