I Really Didn't Want To Say Yes To 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2': Zoe Saldana

After doing many many sci-fi films, actress Zoe Saldana feared of being typecast in the industry. She feared about her career that she might not get other offers of different characters after doing movies of the same genre. The actress plays Gamora in sci-fi thriller 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'.

While talking to nytimes.com, the actress revealed, "I don't know how to say no to these filmmakers. First I booked 'Avatar', and as I was shooting that, J.J. Abrams was getting ready to do 'Star Trek'. And those collaborations got the attention of ('Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' director) James Gunn. I really didn't want to say yes because this was the third sci-fi film I'd be doing, and I was afraid it might not be great for my career. But I got the sense that I would be missing out on something so incredibly special that I said yes".

The 38-year-old earlier stared in sci-fi films like 'Star Trek' and 'Avatar'. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hit the screens on May 5 in India and would be released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film features Chris Pratt to play the role of Star-Lord in the second part of Guardians of the Galaxy.
