    Ian McKellen, Gabriel Byrne and Connie Nielsen Roped In For ‘Hamlet Revenant’

    Actors Ian McKellen, Gabriel Byrne and Connie Nielsen have been signed in to star in the next movie titled ‘Hamlet Revenant’, which is an adaptation William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet. The flick will be produced by France's Albatros Films in collaboration with Germany's Twenty Twenty Vision Filmproduktion, Italy's Filmexport Group and Denmark's Sequoia Pictures. British artist and filmmaker Ken McMullen will be at the helm of affairs for the movie.

    The movie will revolve around a character who is caught in the middle of treasonous political upheavals, family crisis, sexual tensions and ambiguous friendships. It will detail violence and destructive instincts that haunt the human psyche. The movie will go on floors in the second half of 2017.

    Danish actor Mikkel Boe Folsgaard, who is known for playing Danish king in the Oscar-nominated ‘A Royal Affair’, will be playing the titular role in the film. Newbie Maria Boda will play Ophelia. Apart from these actors, the movie will also feature French actors Lambert Wilson and Dominique Pinon and British actor Lex Shrapnel.
