Ice Cube, Kevin Hart Back for Another Ride Along

The dysfunctional duo of Ice Cube and Kevin Hart will be coming back for the sequel of the 2014 flick Ride Along. Ride Along 2 will have Kevin Hart’s funny loud mouthed character who is set to marry Ice Cube’s sister, on another ‘ride along’ where the hard-ass police detective is forced to mentor him as he is soon to be ‘family’. The movie will be released on January 15 next year.

Ice Cube stated, “In the past it was like, ‘I hate you’: a guy who doesn’t think his sister’s fiancé is up to par. Now we’ve been through the fire a little bit. He’s still getting on my nerves. But I like him a little. He wants to call us the ‘Brothers in Law.’ Like, the brothers in the law. That’s where he’s going with it. We family. We gotta stick together and all that shit”.

Kevin Hart will be teaming up with Ice Cube just hours before his wedding for which Cube said, “So he’s up against the clock, he’s up against the bad guys and he’s up against me, and yet: Him being a gung-ho rookie, he has more attitude than when he was a gung-ho security guard. He’s cocky. Directed by Tim Story, the cast for Ride Along 2 includes Olivia Munn, Ken Jeong, Nadine Velazquez, Tika Sumpter and Glen Powell.
