Jake Gyllenhaal Roped In For Life

It has been reported that Southpaw actor Jake Gyllenhaal has joined the cast of the sci-fi movie Life. He will be sharing screen space with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation actress Rebecca Ferguson. The movie will be directed by Daniel Espinosa.

Life will tell the story of the crew who discover signs of life on a sample that they collected from Mars. Jake is known for his diverse roles in movies like Everest, Nightcrawler and Donnie Darko. This year, he will be seen in Demolition and Nocturnal Animals. It is expected that the actor will also shoot for the film Stronger, a true story based on the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Life will be produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn. Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have written the script for the film. The duo is known from their work in Deadpool.
