James Franco indulges in sensational Oscar campaign

It is a tradition, which is being followed every year, when an actor’s team cooks up an innovative idea to generate an Oscar campaign. This campaign always creates a lot of noise which is not always a charming experience for the entitled actor. This year the chosen actor is James Franco.

Recently Franco disclosed his campaign along with distributor A24 Films which gives a best supporting actorscore to Franco for his Spring Breakers. The trailer showsFranco's character, gangsta rapper Alien, in a specially designed costume along with his bikini-clad co-stars Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens. There is an Oscar statuette in each of his hands. And the tagline says, "CONSIDER THIS S***." An A24 spokesperson tells THR, "James Franco has created a character so indelible it deserves recognition. We are excited to be able to support it with a campaign and know the impact of Alien will last far past this awards season." Let’s wait and watch if Franco scores the best at the ultimate event through this offbeat promotional campaign.
