Jared Leto, Chris Evans In Talks For The Girl on the Train

The Hollywood Reported has stated that both Chris Evans and Jared Leto are in talks for the lead role in The Girl on the Train. The movie will be a cinematic adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ novel by the same name. The book was number one on the New York Times bestseller list for 19 weeks after it was released.

The plot revolves around a young woman named Rachel who takes the train every day to and from London. She watches the same surroundings every day including a couple sitting and enjoying their time together. One day she sees that the woman has disappeared and tries to find out what happened to her. The rights for the movie were acquired by DreamWorks in 2014.

The Girl on the Train will be directed by Tate Taylor and the cast will include Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, along with Chris Evans and Jared Leto. The movie will be produced by Marc Platt and written by Paula Hawkins and Erin Cressida Wilson. The big screen adaptation will be released next year.
