Jared Leto likely to board Brilliance

Dallas Buyers Club actor Jared Leto had a great beginning this year with several major nominations and bagging trophies like Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, Screen Actors Guild Award for Actor in a Supporting Role and his maiden Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. His journey of success is likely to continue with Legendary’s Brilliance, which will see him as a replacement of actor Will Smith.

Smith had to quit this project as he has been signed up for the lead role in an untitled film, produced by Ridley Scott. Leto is engaged in early talks with director Julius Onah and if the deal is finalised he will be cast opposite Prometheus actress Noomi Rapace. The film will be produced by Joe Roth, Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni along with executive producers Palak Patel, Eric McLeod and Alex Hedlund. The movie will be co-distributed by Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures. The script of the film, penned by David Koepp, is based on a novel by Marcus Sakey.
