    Jared Leto Roped In For The Outsider

    Known for his Oscar winning performance in ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, Jared Leto has been roped in for ‘The Outsider’. The movie will be a post-WWII based action-thriller set in Japan. ‘The Outsider’ will be directed by Martin Zandvliet of ‘Land of Mine’ fame.

    The principle photography on the project will commence later this year. The screenplay has been written by Andrew Baldwin and Ken Kao, John Linson and Art Linson will produce the film. ‘The Outsider’ will focus on an American soldier who has been imprisoned, and his Yakuza cellmate. Leto plays the soldier who has to repay the debt after being released from prison with the help of his cellmate.

    Martin Zandvliet will make his English-language debut with the film. Except for Leto, none of the other cast members have been announced as of yet. The 44-year-old actor will next be seen in the highly anticipated flick ‘Suicide Squad’, releasing on August 5.
