'Everest' star Jason Clarke is in negotiations to star in ‘Pet Sematary’. The movie is an adaptation of Stephen King's 1983 novel of the same name. His novel was also the basis for a 1989 feature film in which Louis Creed was portrayed by Dale Midkiff.

Clarke will possibly play the role of Louis Creed in the remake. The two filmmakers Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch are helming the Stephen King adaptation. The story follows Creed, who tries to bring back his dead son by placing him to rest in an Indian burial ground but it does not go as per the plan.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are producing the remake of the movie which will open in theatres in April, 2019. The script is written by Jeff Buhler and David Kajganich. Moreover, the original ‘Pet Sematary’ was directed by Mary Lambert which featured Denise Crosby, Blaze Berdahl, Miko Hughes and Fred Gwynne among others.
