Jason Sudeikis To Play John Keating In A Stage Adaptation

If latest reports are to be believed, American actor, comedian and screenwriter Jason Sudeikis will reprise the role of John Keating from the flick "The Dead Poets Society" for stage. It would be a stage adaptation of the movie. The role of John Keating was played by late stand-up comedian Robin Williams.

Deadline reported the news that off-Broadway nonprofit Classic Stage Company will present an adaptation of the director Tom Schulmans 1989 screenplay. The director won an Oscar for the Best Screenplay Academy Award in 1989 for Dead Poets Society.  The performances will start October 27, with an official opening November 17.

The plot of the story revolves about professor Keating out of the ordinary approach to education. He encourages his students to live life passionately. The story is set in an all-boys prep school.
