For the Oscar winner of The Artist, Jean Dujardin, it’s better late than never. He has finally decided to take a legal step against the court decision which convicted him of drink driving last year.

The court penalised him with a fine of several hundred euros, suspending his license for three months. Last year, while the actor was on a holiday at the island of Corsica, he was caught red handed for driving after consuming alcohol. His car was stopped as he left from the nightclub ViaNottein the island’s PortoVecchio, though it was merely a routine check.

Unfortunately the actor’s blood alcohol level was 0.52 mg, which exceeded the limit of 0.25 mg in that particular country. Then he was ordered to pay the penalty and he had to keep his license with the police authority. Finally he has decided to appeal against the order and now the case will be taken care by the appeals court in Corsica later this year. Presently the actor is busy filming Monuments Men along with George Clooney, Matt Damon and Bill Murray.
