Jennifer Lawrence, David O Russell to come together for film on Abscam

Jennifer Lawrence, 22-year-old actress, who is known for playing Katniss Everdeen inThe Hunger Gameswill be starring opposite Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper in the David O Russell’s next. The film would be based on Abscam, as ABSCAM is a FBI sting operation of the 1970’s that lead to the conviction of the United States congressmen.

Lawrence has won the SAG Award and a Golden Globe for her role inSilver Linings Playbookwhich was an American romantic comedy-drama film. The film was inspired from the novel of the same name by Matthew Quick. The actress is expected to play the character of Bale’s wife in the Abscam movie.

The screenplay of the film has been written by Eric Singer and David is going to direct that. The drama will be financed by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle for Atlas Entertainment. Through Annapurna Pictures, Megan Ellison will be producing Amy Adams & Jeremy Renner who are also star in the film.
