Jennifer Lopez feels proud of Matthew McConaughey

Actress-rockstar Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she is quite proud of Dallas Buyers Club actor Matthew McConaughey because of his achievements so far. The actor has won the Academy Award for Best Actor this year and will be seen next in Interstellar.

The 44-year-old actor McConaughey and 44-year-old actress Lopez worked together in The Wedding Planner which was a superhit in 2001. Lopez said, "It was great working with Matthew. (I`m) so proud of what he`s accomplished over the last few years and I have fond memories of him on set.” Lopez has proved her acting prowess in films like Out of Sight, Shall We Dance? and Maid in Manhattan, to name quite a few. The actress said the 1997 movie Selena changed her life as she devoted herself skin deep into the character of the late Latin artist. JLo added further, "I got to immerse myself in her life, got to know her family, her home, her culture... Every part of her story. It was a special time in my life both professionally and personally.” "Playing her not only opened doors for me in the film world, but it inspired me to start my own music career. In a lot of ways, I wouldn`t be where I am today if I hadn`t had that experience," she said more.
