The Avengers star Jeremy Renner has hinted that he might return for the next instalment in the Mission Impossible franchise. The actor plays the role of William Brandt in the series which has had five movies till date. The 45-year-old actor had a light conversation on Twitter with director Christopher McQuarrie which suggested that he might reprise his role in the sixth film.

Jeremy tweeted, “Hey, is the band getting back together? Should I start stretching? @chrismcquarrie”, to which Christopher replied, “Wear comfortable pants. You're gonna need 'em”. The actor joined the Mission Impossible team in 2011 for the fourth film Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

The director is currently working on the script for the film and the production will commence later this year. Since there has been no official announcement regarding the cast, the involvement of Jeremy with the project should be taken with a grain of salt. What’s confirmed is that Tom Cruise will be returning as Ethan Hunt.
