Jesse Plemons, Domhnall Gleeson joins Tom Cruise in ‘Mena’

Jesse Plemons and Domhnall Gleeson has officially been casted for ‘Mena’, which is biopic based on the life of Barry Seal. The main lead of the film is to be played by Tom Cruise in the Doug Liman directorial. Sarah Wright, Jayma Mays, Caleb Landry Jones, Benito Martinez, Lola Kirke, E. Roger Mitchell and Alejandro Edda are other stars that will be seen in the film.

Talking of the film, Liman said, “I love stories of improbable heroes working against the system, and Barry Seal took the government, and our country, for an unbelivable ride”. The Edge of Tomorrow director added, “Interpreting his story has the makings for an entertaining film that is equal parts satire, suspense, and comedy—and always surprising”. The production of the film has already begun in Georgia.

Mena is real life story based on smuggler and pilot, Barry Seal. Seal was unpredictably appointed by the Central Intelligence Agency for running one of the biggest covert operations in the history of U.S. The movie is scheduled to release on January 6, 2017.
