    Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain is known for her memorable roles in movies such as Interstellar and Zero Dark Thirty. The actress has always managed to portray roles that depict independent women in pursuit of bringing change to the entire world all by themselves.

    Recently, the actress exhibited her thought that it is important to depict powerful women in movies. Chastain also mentioned the reason behind her thought that she wants the young generation of girls to feel motivated after watching such movies. Jessica emphasised on the point that it is the responsibility of today’s women to move ahead and achieve what they wish to achieve.

    The actress was quoted as saying, "Everyone has to learn how to live in an environment that has not made it easy for women to claim their place, so I think it's all women's responsibility to step forward". The Martian star further added, "My goal is that a girl will watch 'The Martian' or 'Interstellar' and think 'I want to be an astronaut or a quantum physicist'. It's important to show powerful women who are good at their jobs because young girls need those examples".
