Jessica Chastain set to star in ‘The Huntsman’

The Snow White and The Huntsman spinoff has just added two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain to its cast. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will direct and Darabont, who is the former showrunner of The Walking Dead, penned the screenplay, along with previous drafts by Craig Mazin and Evan Spiliotopoulos.

The Oscar-nominated actress joins a cast that includes the returning Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, as well as the previously announced Emily Blunt in a villain role. Kristen Stewart, who played Snow White in the first film, will not be reprising her role in the spinoff. Jessica was previously nominated for Academy Awards for her roles in 2011's The Help and 2012's Zero Dark Thirty. The Huntsman is expected to hit theaters on April 22, 2016.
